Captain’s Spice Co. was created to bring proper Cantonese / British takeaway-style salt and pepper flavor into everyday kitchens. The kind of bold, sweet, savory, peppery seasoning that makes wings, ribs, shrimp, fries, and stir fry taste like something you’ve been craving all week.
Why Captain's?
Named After the Cat Who Runs the Ship
Captain’s Spice Co. is named after Captain, our 3 year old Maine Coon with big paws, a huge personality, and a firm belief that he runs the house.
And honestly, he does. He claims every chair, judges every decision, and somehow always looks like he’s in charge. So when it came time to name the brand, there was only one choice. Captain isn’t just our cat. He’s the captain of the ship.

From Our Kitchen to Yours
A Taste I Missed for 14 Years
I’m Lynden, and I moved from the UK to Arizona 14 years ago. One thing I always missed was proper British Chinese takeaway salt and pepper. That bold mix of white pepper, garlic, chili, salt, sweetness, and heat that makes everything taste better.
I started making my own version about 10 years ago because I couldn’t find anything here that hit the same. It became the seasoning I used on wings, ribs, shrimp, fries, chicken, vegetables, and pretty much anything crispy.
After years of making it for ourselves, friends, and family, Alli and I finally decided it was time to bottle it properly and let everyone else try it too.
